Options trading isn’t as complicated as you think

Believe it or not, options trading isn’t nearly as complicated as it seems to be on the surface.

But before you dive in and start making massive gains like this fine gentlemen here…

You’ll need a plan.

The planning stage is where you’ll decide on an options spread strategy (a spread being the purchase and sale of different options on the same underlying as a package) and the amount of money you intend on investing.

The question you’ll need to ask yourself…

Will your strategy be a credit spread or a debit spread?

Credit spreads involve net receipts of premiums and aren't well suited to beginners.

Debit spreads, on the other hand, limit the risk involved and work with lower investments.

Debit spreads are more beginner-friendly and I recommend this strategy if you have limited experience.

At the end of the day, the strategy you choose should limit your potential for loss as much as possible.

That way, you can prevent sudden losses on your investment and live (and learn) to invest another day.
